Some art club friends and I gathered together to put a face to each and every one of the elements (we did this weeks ago...), and, dividing them almost equally among us four, I ended up with 23 elements. I never thought I'd finish designing them, but because I am an awesome (*cough* ego *cough*) person, I finished all 23 characters by yesterday. All that is left to do is write their detailed profiles! =)
Each of the characters are unique. Hydrogen, 19, is a rather...blunt guy, you could say. He is thin and has orange hair and brown eyes, although his left one is covered by a mass of hair. Hair on his right has been pinned up with, well, pins. He is hot-tempered and often gets so excited by fighting he kind of loses himself. Oh, have I mentioned that his right eye is outlined really, really heavily?
Oh, Mecchasser is the surname I gave to Hydrogen, just so you know, and Hydrogen is one of my characters, if you haven't yet got that. Hydrogen = {H: H є Element, H є Mine} I wonder if this makes any sense whatsoever...
Anyway.
NAPFA 5 stations was today.
My results may seem VERY lousy to any male who happens to be passing by (especially SBJ), but I think they would find my shuttle run and sit-ups (especially sit-ups) rather acceptable. =)
Sit-Ups
43
Female Standard (15): A [>30]
Male Standard (15): A [>42] Barely made it
Last Year's Raw Score and Grade (14): 36, A [>30]
My glasses were falling off in the middle (about 20+) so I grabbed them and pulled them off. Not exactly very nice to my glasses but I couldn't help it. They were preventing me from doing my best because if I wore them and they were dangling from the tip of my nose, I would do my sit-ups slower to stop them from flying off my face...my glasses are straight, see, they do not curve aroud the ear at all (I wonder, did you read it that my glasses were heterosexual? Lol.).
Standing Board Jump
178cm
Female Standard (15): B ([174cm-182cm] I would have gotten an 'A' if I were 14...damn.
Male Standard (15): F [<198cm]
Last Year's Raw Score and Grade (14): 175cm, B [169cm-177cm] I'm pissed at this. 3cm more...
Inclined Pull-Ups
18
Female Standard (15): A [>16] Barely made this one as well...
Male Standard (15): NA (but it would be a 'C' for 14 year olds)
Last Year's Raw Score and Grade (14): 18, A [>16] =)
Sit and Reach
45cm
Female Standard (15): B [43cm-45cm] Just 1cm more! ><
Male Standard (15): B [43cm-45cm] Standards are the same
Last Year's Raw Score and Grad (14): 45, A [>43cm]
Shuttle Run
10.43sec
Female Standard (15): A [<11.3sec] Waaaaaaaay past 'A' (*smug smile*).
Male Standard (15): C [10.4sec-10.5sec]
Last Year's Raw Score and Grade (14): 10.7sec, A [<11.5sec]
I initially scored 11.7sec because I could not grab the wooden block (aim was off, see), so I was allowed to try again. I wasted so much of my time floundering about trying to grab the blocks I felt like an idiot! I contemplated taking my glasses off as well because they kept falling down as I ran, but decided against it because, if I did, how much worse would my aim be??? (hint: my eyesight is about 900+ degrees in each eye)
You know what? I think I could pass off as a guy quite well during NAPFA tests. =) Except for my SBJ, which would have made me FAIL, and man would I fail terribly. Their pass is 198cm! Maybe it's just because they're taller. Dang, stupid men. Why are they so tall? I'm short for a female! My SBJ distance is greater than my height by...21cm (assuming I haven't grown since the start of the year, which is a VERY sound assumption)!
Of course, knowing some people from my Primary school class, the guys probably jumped more than 40cm their height. I seem to remember Alex, whom I remember to be rather short, actually hit 200cm for SBJ in Primary school...hmm...
Ah, well, now my GOLD rests on my 2.4, which is, frankly speaking, going to be a killer. I barely made 'C' last year, and so I think I'm probably going to get a 'D' this year, which gives me a SILVER no matter how many lousy 'A's I got...darn it.
NAPFA should be tested according to height and weight, not age! Look, Rachel is taller than me, but because she is younger (birthday August) she gets to do the NAPFA test according to 14 year old standards! Damn it, why do things never go my way? I'm also below average height! This is NOT fair! If I could do it to 14 year old standards I would have gotten straight 'A's!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Darn it. What's with Singapore and her NAPFA tests?
I suppose the boys should be complaining more since their standards are WAAAY higher, but that's not quite a valid reason. I think the only thing they should complain about is the SBJ (but the guys are so tall!), or the pull-ups. 2.4km run should be rather acceptable for a healthy guy...I think. I could get above 'C' for half of their stations and I'm a girl below average height (with excess nutrition which translates into excess weight which means I can't jump as far, run as fast, sit-up as frequently, or pull-up as easily)! If I can do it, so can the guys, right?
Good luck to those who have yet to do their NAPFA 5 stations, and wish me the bestest luck in the world when it is time for my 2.4km run (10 May 2010, 15:30 @ RGS track [which is more than 400m long and of irregular shape]).
...I really need to pray for this and hope God allows me to complete my run with at least a 'C' (16:10) without wheezing like a pig in space after I have finished the run...if I ever finish the run, that is.
Argh, for once, being in Art Club isn't really paying off...spending that much time in an air-conditioned room sitting about and exercising nothing save our mouths, minds, arms and hands can't be too good for physical health, especially stamina...
