Of netballs and Hip Hop

Yesterday was netball carn.

I think I played about 5 games or so, and there was once I played 2 games consecutively and was sweating buckets after them.

Some crazy pointless running and jumping for 14 minutes straight is no good for a person who doesn't exercise at all...

What's more I was made center...

*cries*

Anyway, I felt pretty fit after that. =D

But my thighs and legs hurt like crap the next day (a.k.a. today). Ash had bought some 100 Plus for the players, but there was one shot, so I didn't get any.

Not that I realize they were giving out 100 Plus in the first place...I only noticed when someone gave Rachel1 hers and said they were for the players... O.o

But it's fine. I don't really like soft/gassy drinks. I prefer Ice Green Tea, Ice Lemon Tea, Bird's Nest those kind. Of course, since bubble tea isn't gassy, I like it too.

But when I finally decided to buy it, it was sold out, and because I didn't really want another dose of soya milk (first dose was during breakfast), I didn't get a drink.

I relied on the school's water cooler instead and had a nice cool drink of water (though the water from the water cooler always tastes a little weird...).

Oh, and I just realized Min Chih is so easily pissed. After we lost our first game (losing streak continues all throughout with the exception of one tie), she had this black face and super dark aura around her that made her look so dangerous...

Today we had hip-hop lessons (MTV Hip-Hop). We did some steps. The first one, when done horribly, makes a person look like a duck (from observation).

The second one can make someone look like a drunkard, and so can the third. The fourth one was pretty showy.

I didn't like the snapping part of the fourth one. I can't snap.

I can't tell how well I have done, but from the feedback (from random people I know from random places), I am proud to say I didn't do so shabbily...

I remember seeing one girl look like she was doing Egyptian dance when she did the first step... Cherie was pretty good (*author is very reluctant to admit*).

The lady who was showing the steps (a.k.a. Step-Showing-Lady or SSL) looked very cool doing the steps, while the rest of us look like bumbling ducks...what an amazingly huge difference...

Lolz, I remember that the lady who was telling steps (a.k.a. Step-Telling-Lady or STL) was saying that we didn't put enough effort into the PUMPING and it looked like ballet...

DON"T YOU DARE INSULT THE ART OF BALLET, WOMAN.

Well, I take ballet and it's not really clear how she's insulting it, but I feel pretty pissed when she commented that people who didn't put effort looked like their doing ballet...

Hello, after 90 min of ballet I'm sweating just to get the steps perfect (though I never managed that). No effort my foot.

Even we need to put effort and strength into our dance (if not we'll collapse halfway through a dance or something and our posture will be ruined). Without strengh we can't manage a develope!

Ballet is not something you can learn overnight. It requires stamina, strength and skill. It took me like 8 years to get to where I am today!

Anyway, I was pretty happy with how I did my steps. They didn't feel wrong, and I pumped in lots and lots of brute force (the kind of strength they want, in ballet, we use compressed strength).

I also inserted in some control so my movements don't go out of hand.

Overall, I'm happy with my hip-hop.

My SEI was pathetic.

EQ is about 96.

And my RCP is higher than my EEL, while in most people, their EEL is higher. I'll bet that it was the question 'I have many words to describe how I feel' that made the difference.

I can differentiate what I feel, but the fact still remains that my English is down in the gutter and I usually have absolutely no words to describe feelings (unless it is something simple like anger or jealousy...).

So after the SEI, we were tricked into attending a talk about CAP and FPS.

So boring I wanted to fall asleep.

While I was walking towards the bus stop and taking my time, 105 came! So I ran as fast as I could and got there just in time to board the bus.

Phew!

Then I got home and that's how I got here.

Art Camp

IT WAS SO PHYSICALLY CHALLENGING.

I take back what I said in the survey that my CCA is not physically and mentally challenging...

Yesterday, I had to run from one end of the botanical garden to the other end, then back again, then to the end again, and back, to the end, and back...

The balls of my feet died.

We had dinner at the botanical gardens. I ate a whole chicken murtabak by myself! Kimberly had laksa and cut fruits (rockmelon and pineapple).

Then after bath and setting all stuff down in the gym, we assembled at the foyer.

The ridiculous game of courage had begun. School was superb freaky and dark at night, and we could barely see where to go.

First station was supposed to be at a classroom in J block, which turned out to be my classroom...

Half of us stayed to solve a puzzle and the other half (me + kimberly) went to search for a flag at the fencing outside J block by the track.

2nd station was...er...the BBQ pit. Then we got to the pavilion from a clue at the BBQ pit and we had to draw from what we remember the picture of the guy we saw at the BBQ pit.

We passed there.

Then we got to a lego construction place. We had 5 lego blocks. We had to build the exact same model as the one that we can't see.

Only one person can see it, and she can't speak or point or...er...I forgot.

Kimberly went.

We screwed up the blue piece, so I had to stay behind as hostage cuz' we couldn't complete the task within the time.

Then we ate supper, chocolate cake + green tea (as in no sugar added).

Then bed time. Oh, before that, Kimberly and I did quiet time, something I haven't done in ages.

We sat on the squishy mats and read the bible, prayed, and did some worship. When we were done, we dragged the mats to the other side of the gym and slept there till morn (of course, be brushed our teeth before we slept).

The next day, I woke up without external help at 07:00.

Brushed teeth with Kimberly, and we set off for breakfast.

After breakfast, we did shirt designs as farewell gifts for the Sec 4s. Honestly, I think what I did to the shirt seriously sucked...

I totally screwed it up.

Then we waited for lunch.

Kimberly left after lunch (nasi lemak, for vegeterians, subway) because she has already been to the Biennale as she's in the SAP. So sad...

Biennale was fun, 'cept that we had to walk around so much...

The art pieces are really amazing, but my fave is still 'Hair Salon'.

We annotated the art pieces. =D

Then we went back to school and were released.

Thank goodness it's over.

YAY FOR PT!

So far, all my PTs from mid-year have been a 4.0 GPA ('cept for the obvious exception of Philo, where I got an adequate).

We just got back our E.Lit. PT 2 days (or was it yesterday? I can't remember) and I was totally over the moon when I saw I got 20/25.

Well, the addition was wrong. I got a 4, 3, 5, 8, which adds up to 20, but teacher (probably Ms. Chen) summed it wrongly and so I got a 19.

Rachel1 then helped me change it when they asked for signatures if the stated marks was correct.

For History PT, I got 16/20, for Chemistry PT, I got 15/16 (YAY!).

Anyway, today I went to Zann's house. First we took 132 from across the school to some totally random bus stop in the middle of nowhere. We could have taken 105, but we'd have to walk a longer distance.

I might like to add that this is the 5th time I sat on a double decker bus!

We sat right in front of the 2nd level, and I felt like I was on a roller coaster! Before the chairs was a bar, and that made it feel like a restraining thing.

I sat with Ash at my left on the right seats, while Zann sat at the seat behind us to better facilitate our conversations, which consisted mostly of anime related stuff.

On 132, we came across a road with a tree which had giant candies dangling from them, and that directed the conversation towards Death Note. Zann commented that she'd bet that there wasn't any sweet treats like that in Japan.

I kept imagining what it'd be like if the bus fell over, cuz' it's rare that I get to sit on a double decker bus.

I'd imagine that the car in front of us (which was black) would have smashed to bits and the person inside would be crushed.

Then someone brought up the idea of air bags. I said it wouldn't work unless the air bags came from above the person.

I imagined that the glass before me would crack and scar me for life...

Then we took bus 7 to her house. Here, we can also take 75, but bus 7 came first.

This bus was super noisy when it stops. The deep resonating sound that it makes when it halts was vibrating my eardrums so much that they hurt, so I had to cover my ears when the bus stops for comfort.

Oh oh! I remember that on this bus, we sat at the front on the left side, cuz' there was a lady sitting on the right seat.

As usual, I sat at the inside seat and Ash sat beside me, then Zann was behind us. I was wishing that something would slam into the window for a more interesting ride.

A branch that looked like the kind from coconut trees suddenly slapped the glass before me, and I was like, WOW! Do that again!

But it never happened. The other time was just a few leaves gently brushing the window.

She lives in a condo, but the compound is so uber large. It took us at least 5 minutes to walk across it to her block.

Since we got there quite late (didn't really noticed that school ends at 13:30 toda), we had lunch at around 15:00.

It was delicious! There was fish fillet, kang kong, sausage, potato, and amazing banana chocolate cake!

YUM!

There was also chrysanthemum tea. Iced.

Then we went to watch "L Change the World". Frankly, I expected more out of it. I wanted mystery, but there was barely any.

Firstly, L wrote his name in the Death Note stating he dies in 23 days. Watari then dies of heart attack. L burns the Death Note.

One of his comrades, F, finds a boy from a village infected by a deadly virus (mix of influenza and ebola) who is apparently immune to the virus.

He catches the virus, but tells the boy to call a number (Watari's), sa F1225, and hands over his necklace which has a recording of the situation.

L accepts the gift (I think F1225 means that there's a gift from F), which is the boy, and aquires the recording through him.

The virus is studied in a lab by Dr. Kujo and Professor Nikaido (or something). Nikaido's daughter, Maki was told to bring something to her father and went to his lab.

When at the building, she sees many dead people littering the floor, and her father in the lab saying he has an antidote for the virus.

Kujo, inventor of the virus which has ivolved thus rendering her own antidote useless, threatens Nikaido to get him to hand over the antidote after he has chucked it in an incinerator or she'll kill his daughter.

Nikaido gets himself infected with the virus with no other choices, and begs Kujo to destroy the lab as the virus can get out. She does so and he is fried to death.

Maki runs away, and eventually ends up at L's place (also Watari's place, but the old guy's dead) and becomes L's second child to babysit.

She injects the virus into herself when Kujo and her thugs came storming up to them when she faces them. Before someone could shoot her, L pulls her away and escapes.

Then run away in a truck labled "Angel Crepes" in white with a pink base.

The driver becomes an unwilling decoy as L and the kids escape after he deleted all the data from his computers.

He goes to a doctor (probably a friend) and seeks help on how to get an antidote. They finally figure out that some protein may be able to create an antidote.

Before they could create one, Maki calls Kujo out alone so she can kill her, but get abducted onto a plane.

L notices she's missing, and once the antidotes are created, he gets a whole bag of them and heads for the airport.

Maki was dressed as a sick patient needing surgery overseas, so she gets on the plane easily. Before the plane is able to take off, the "Angel Crepes" truck rumbles into the run way causing a delay.

Kujo panics and gets Maki out of the bed, ripping needles off her, which caused her blood to flow and affect the other passengers.

One of Kujo's thugs heads for the cockpit and drives the plane. L arrives in time, though he struggled to reach the plane by jumping from the stairs.

He asks that everyone be administered with the chunk of antidotes he has.

The plane was going to crash into the airport as the thug of Kujo died and cannot control it, so L rushes to the bridge and stops it.

At the end, he sends the boy to a school for Mathematic geniuses and names him "Near".

THe end.

Zann's brother is so much like mine, sitting at the com and doing nothing but play games.

Her sisters (twins) were watching Code Lyoko.

After touring her house once when the movie was over, we joined her sisters in watching Code Lyoko.

I kinda got glued to one of the episodes which I was left hanging in suspense cuz' I had to go.

I waited like 10-15 minutes for the 156 bus, when it finally came, it was pretty crowded, but I found a seat.

I was not familiar with the route of 156, so I had to stay awake. But then it finally came to a familiar place like Raffles Town Club.

Then it went a different path from 105, and ended outside my house.

It's OKto

YAY! I just tuned my TV to OKTO, so now I can watch the non-English dubbed version on TV!

Oh, today I went for an outing with my buzz group (church cell group in lower sec.). We went to East Coast Park, and just our luck, it drizzled into a slight rain, so we went to McDonalds for shelter and lunch.

I got a Fillet-O-Fish set plus an extra Double Cheeseburger cuz' I didn't feel full even after the set meal.

Then we went and rented a bicycles.

I got a locker which I shared with 2 other people. I was the one who paid for the locker, sadly, and my father doesn't wanna give me back what I spent...

DANG!

Anyway, I was such an idiot. When it closed, I went to open it, which means that I just wasted the $1 to keep my bag in for 30 sec.

Brother ZiCao (BZC) was my buzz group's leader, so he went to ask for a dollar from the counter to re-close the locker. =D

Oh, at the jetty which we stopped at to wait for BZC, Rebecca learnt how to ride the bike!

I returned to the shop just on time, but BZC and quite a few others returned like half an hour after the due time...

I decided to hitch a ride on Miranda's car to some weird MRT station (I forgot it's weird name...).

While waiting for the car, I saw a busload of people coming out of a bus (duh) with OKTO headbands on...

I was wondering: eh, I though the launch day is tomorrow.

It turned out that today was the 19th...

Anyway, the trip home was uneventful, except when an elderly lady asked if I was a volunteer, as in do yi4 gong1 (pin yin) one.

I think it was because I was wearing the shirt from my old church...

Anyway, when I got home, I wanted to watch D.Gray-Man which is supposed to be showed on Saturdays and Sundays at 19:00, so I got my father to help tune a channel to OKTO.

But then, cuz' it was launch day, the whole schedule is screwed and D.Gray-Man doesn't appear until 2 weeks later, which I am so freakin' pissed at...

Yeah, but I'm still happy there's OKTO, cuz' I haven't watched Ep. 1 in a long time, and I'm glad their broadcasting the Japanese DUB and not the English DUB version. The English DUB is TERRIBLE.

Well, I haven't watched D.Gray-Man in English DUB before, but since all other Dubs are terrible, I'll assume this one is too.

In English DUBs, the expressions and emotions conveyed through the voices are seriously screwed...

Manga Recommendation (VI)

I want to recommend a manga called Karakurizoshi Ayatsuri Sakon.

Artist: Obata Takeshi
Author: Marou Sharaku

It's status is incomplete, and it looks like it's going to be on a permanant hiatus, but the stories in the existing 19 chapters are real nice.

The main character is a man called Tachibana Sakon. He is a puppeteer, and when he controls a puppet, his personality takes a 180 degrees change.

Originally, he is quite an unreliable and careless person, but with a puppet under his control, he becomes a very level headed and somehow smarter person.

But in either modes, he is still a very quiet guy.

His puppet is called Ukon.

Ukon is a loudmouth puppet and talks a lot. Well, Sakon, being the puppeteer and a ventriloquist does the voice of Ukon, but when Ukon talks, it seems as if he were a totally separate person from Sakon as he sometimes makes fun of Sakon.

In addition, when Ukon talks too much, Sakon usually slaps a hand over his mouth to stop him talking, though he could just stop voicing.

When controlling Ukon, Sakon's face barely shows any emotion, and it is a running gag that in that mode, Sakon's face looks like a puppet's.

When Ukon expresses surprise, Sakon remains a nonchalant mask, though in extreme situations, he does show emotion, though more subdued than Ukon's.

It is amazing how he can continue voicing for Ukon even when he is apparently shocked.

Continuing, because of his odd job as a puppeteer, he sometimes gets wound up in odd mysteries involving murders.

Due to his levelheadedness when controlling Ukon, Sakon is able to think through the situation and come up with an answer for each mystery, revealing the muderer.

It is a really cool manga, though it's really saddenning that it hasn't been updated in over a year, so I assume it has been discontinued.

LAST DAY OF EXAMS!

YAHOO!

Exams ended yesterday, and Moira had invited Rachel, Anabelle, two other people whose name I don't know and me before hand to her house to celebrate after school.

Somehow, Zann came with us too.

First, we took 105 to Far East, then 143 to some unknown land crossing Orchard road (was it even Orchard road? I know we passed by Ngee An City (sp?)).

Then we ate superb nice duck rice from a stall which name I don't know but which Moira apparently thinks is famous. The rice was plain, but with the sauce oozing out from every crook and cranny, I thought it was perfect.

We ordered 5, not knowing that 3 people were not eating. Only Rachel and Anabelle spoke up to tell us that, so we ordered our share.

Then when the food arrived, apparently, someone else was not eating.

We had to wait until the end of lunch for someone to eat it. Rachel did. She actually doesn't like duck, but thought that if there was that much sauce over it, it'd be fine.

So we trooped to Moira's house. It was mightly huge. The first floor had her granddad lying in a bed that looked like one whisked hurriedly from the hospital.

The second floor was the living room and kitchen, in which we made Jello that tasted like vanilla ice-cream from McDonalds!

The third floor held Moira's room, two other rooms, and the toilet.

Moira's room was shared by Moira (duh) and Tessa. It was home to multiple toys and two desks, a double decker and had a small balcony with a few plants.

If I remember correctly, there's a mirror behind the door leading to the balcony.

It was really fun at her house!

There were Fruits Basket mangas from 6-13 (or was it 12?), and before we left, we ate the Jello and someone and I chomped down a Moo ice-cream bar each (I later found out it did NOT contain Melamine from a newspaper article).

The trip home was pretty uneventful.

Zann, me and Rachel squeezed (seriously SQUEEZED) in the back seats, Moira, Anabelle and the two whom I don't know sat in the second row, and Moira's sister and her mother sat in front, with her mother at the wheels.

We were alighted at Buona Vista MRT station, where Rachel, Me and someone else took the train to Jurong East MRT Station, and Rachel and I transferred to the Red Line towards Marina Bay.

Zann took the same train as uas at Buona Vista MRT station but alighted at the next stop.

Rachel alighted at Sembawang, my stop was 5 later at Bishan. The time taken from Khatib to Yio Chu Kang was super long...

Anyway. I went home the usual way from Bishan MRT station.

Manga Recommendation (V)

YOSH!

Finally no. 5!

I accidentally found this on mangafox. It's called Dragon Voice.

Dragon Voice - Status: Incomplete

It's about a boy called Amami Rin with an unbelievably low voice which everybody thinks sounds totally horrible. People tend to say that he looks handsome (I don't get this part until a little later) but has a terrible voice.

He has no confidence in his voice even though he loves to sing, and makes some side money from dancing to some idol's dances along with a friend or two.

One day, he chances upon a group called Beatmen. They were trying to get into the building which he made money outside without being noticed (and failing quite terribly) and trampled over his sign.

At first, everybody thought his voice was just plain noise, but the leader of the Beatmen, Shino, thought that his voice was unique.

Beatmen's boss also thought that too, when he met Rin properly for the first time. He suspects the voice to be the legendary Dragon Voice, a voice that 'is said to shake the land, and avoke fear in people, just like the roar of a dragon. Once the people are charmed by the intense characteristic of the voice, they will hear a beautiful shining angel-like voice. The illusionary voice that combines the shape of an evil and the brightness of an angel'.

But his untrained voice sounds really horrible.

On top of that, before he could get his voice perfect, it seems a challenge has come up against their rival company, S Field (or something), unintentionally initiated by Rin himself.

Their outdoor concert was cancelled due to a sudden downpour near the end, thus the audience count was 0, while their rival, S Field's Privee held an indoor concert and drew 3600 people who apparently didn't leave, and according to the deal, Beatmen and their company disbanded.

In an attempt to revive Beatmen, they search for their boss' master (their boss was arrested because of inability to pay off his debts due to loss of job). The final result was that they were tools used for filming a show called Voice Rangers.

The 4 original Beatmen members were 4 out of the 5 Voice Rangers, while a girl called Sakura was Voice White.

Rin, due to his weird husky voice, had the role of Prince Desharmony (did they purposely spell it wrongly?), in which form I think he looks tons cooler, maybe because of the tatoo under the left eye and the outfit. Oh! The hair too!

Anyway, Voice Rangers is about 5 Voice Rangers battling to save the world of music from Prince Desharmony, who, due to his terrible voice that all of Zon are born with, cannot sing even though he enjoys it a lot.

Through this filming process, Rin learns many new techniques on how to better articulate his words, express feelings through dance and body language, and also make use of his deep resonating voice to the fullest.

The drawings are really nice.

To me, that is.

The humour is great.

To me, that is.

The plot is even better.

To me, that is.

The characters are unbelievably unique.

To me, that is.

Anyway.

What I am saying is, GO READ IT.

Here: Dragon Voice

THROAT STILL SORE.

Ah ah.

This sucks.

Today for Geog paper I wrote so much my hand hurts like hell (about 4 and a half pages [2 and a quarter pieces of paper]).

It's the first time I ever asked for paper!

Anyway. I felt that I sucked.

I busted the whole paper and screwed it up. MCQ was a definite die, Mapwork was absolutely frustrating (no national borders!), and Section C was kill-the-chocolate mode.

I REALLY WANNA BEAT SOMETHING UP.

But I couldn't.

Just as I got out, a wave of stomachache gushed upon me.

Yow. It was absolutely horrible.

It's not like I haven't experience stomachaches before. I have in the last 2 to 3 years, and I had them almost everyday in P5.

But since I haven't had any recently, it hit like a brick, then it zapped like lightning, followed by continuous stabs by blunt scissors and fearsome needles.

Okay. I'm probably exaggerating.

Anyway, all I can say is that it was unbearable. I had immunity to it in P5, but I totally lost it this year where I had about 10-20 stomachaches a year only.

GAH!

I WANT MY IMMUNITY BACK!

This sucks.

Big time.

And my throat is sore, and has been since Saturday.

Man.

This sucks.

Big time.

F*** -Quoted from 'Sharlene Lee' time 14:27

CAUGHT RED HANDED~!

=D

Okay. Not something to be happy about.

But.

MY SISTER SAID THE FREAKIN" F-WORD FOR THE 3rd TIME RIGHT BEFORE ME!

Well, she wasn't exactly cursing me, but actually the stupidity and retardness of the Science question.

Here:

Shixuan carried out an experiment to compare the amount of water in 4 different vegetables, A, B, C and D. Firstly, she weighed the vegetablas. Then she dried the vegetables in the sun for a few days and weighed them again. She recorded her results in the table below.

(Can't really do a table but I'll try)

Vege++Weight before drying++Weight after drying++Difference in weight
. . . . .++. . . . . . . (g). . . . . . . . . .++. . . . . . .(g). . . . . . . . .++. . . . . . . (g)
. .A. . ++. . . . . . . . .160. . . . . . . . . . .++. . . . . . . . 40. . . . . . . . . . ++. . . . . . . . 120
. .B. . ++. . . . . . . . .120. . . . . . . . . . .++. . . . . . . . 48. . . . . . . . . . ++. . . . . . . . . 72
. .C. . ++. . . . . . . . .120. . . . . . . . . . .++. . . . . . . . 56. . . . . . . . . . ++. . . . . . . . . 64
. .D. . ++. . . . . . . . .80 . . . . . . . . . . . ++. . . . . . . . 16. . . . . . . . . . ++. . . . . . . . . 64

(ARGH! I GIVE UP! I'll do it in another fashion but has the same results)

Vegetable....................*..A.....*.....B......*....C.....*.....D
Weight before drying (g)...*160...*...120....*..120...*...80
Weight after drying (g)....*.40....*....48......*...56....*...16
Difference in weight (g)...*120...*....72......*...64....*...64

Which of the following statements is/are true for her experiment?

(A) Vegetable D has the highest water content
(B) Vegetable B has more water than vegetable C
(C) Vegetable C has as much water as vegetable D
(D) Vegetable A and B have more water than vegetable C and D

(1) B only
(2) A and B only
(3)C and D only
(4) A, C and D only

The answer was (2).

I was like, "WHAT THE HECK".

And my sister was like, "WHAT THE F***".

From the way she can actually release that word into the air so friggin' freely, I hypothesise that she has been using it a lot at school.

GAH!

She may not go to heaven.

Manga Recommendation (IV)

I know this may be weird that I'm still blogging a day before the exams, but I just can't help it!

Today, I'm recommending Hikaru no Go.

It is about a boy called Shindou Hikaru, who has part of his consciousness occupied by a ghost who calls himself Fujiwara no Sai.

Now Sai was a great player of a game called Go. He tutored the king of Edo (that's the old name for Tokyo) on Go before along with another man a thousand years ago, but the king thought that one tutor was enough, and made the two play a game.

The winner gets to tutor the king.

Sai was accused of cheating though his opponent was the one who cheated. He lost the game as he was feeling disturbed, then suicided as the only thing that kept him going was Go, but there was nothing left for him after he was banished for losing AND cheating.

Because he had some unknown unfinished business to do, his ghost possessed a goban (a board which Go is playe on) and when a man called Hon'inbo Shuusaku came across the goban 860 years later, Sai shared his conscience and fulfilled his dream of playing Go.

However, Shuusaku died at the age of 34 due to plague.

Sai returned to the goban and was finally able to get out of it when Hikaru came along and Sai shared his consience.

In the beginning, Hikaru had no intention to play Go, but since Sai's depression could actually rub into him because they share the same conscience, Hikaru gave in to Sai and went to a Go salon to satisfy Sai.

He played a kid the same age as he was (6th grade) called Touya Akira. Sai crushed him.

Touya had skills that surpassed many Go pro players, but Sai was far superior. Because Akira did not know about Sai, he though Hikaru was the one that beat him, and chased after him as his goal, greatly affected by the loss.

As the story progresses, Hikaru begins to take a liking to Go after witnessing Sai and Akira's passion for the game, wanting to chase after Akira and catch up to him while Akira chased the Sai within him.

Soon, Hikaru begins to play his own style of Go, leaving Sai just watching from the sidelines. Sai feels left out, but apparently does not know what the feeling was.

After realizing that just as Shuusaku existed for him, Sai himself existed for the sake of Hikaru.

Ah!

The story is just so amazing that summarizing it up all for you guys is not going help get you interested.

Anyway. I think I'm gonna update the links at the side bar for recommendations...

I first started to get interested in Hikaru no Go just a few days back on Tuesday. I went with Zann to browse the bookshop and my eye was caught by the tankouban with a black spine (it always caught my attention, just not strongly enough until Tuesday).

Zann told me that her cousin had that series, and the drawings looked so nice to me that I just wanted to read it. The only clue I got was that it was about a game, and either the artist or author's name started with the Chinese character 'xiao' (as in small).

So I went to check it up on mangafox because it has the largest collection of manga I've ever seen. The name Hikaru no Go was familiar to me, but it never once popped up in my mind while I was searching for the manga.

By chance I found it yesterday, so here I am promoting it. =D

I've just finished reading it before dinner. About 19:30.
